Problem
Demonstrations are expressed in various forms by people and are often seen in everyday life. However, participating in the demonstrations is not easy for a number of reasons for some people.
- People do not have enough time to get involved
- People are shy about raising their voices in public
- People are concerned about the possibility of becoming involved in acts of violence
Solution
This project allows people to speak their voices anywhere and anytime without having much effort through their smart devices. When users scan the QR code, it will show the random objects that fall from the sky automatically. These objects are easily recognizable shapes, such as balloons or air bubbles. When the object hits any kind of surface, for instance, a ground, human body, and any other collision parts, it will transform into a certain word. On a falling object, the deformed word remains in its original deformed position. This Hellogan project is programmed to drop only 3 objects at a time when the user presses a button on smart devices. The combination of the three words contain meanings that refer to past or present social problems.
“It’s not what you say. It’s about how you say it!”

Site Map
Similar to user testing with paper prototypes, user flows helped me further design the layout to check usability and usable features before creating a digital prototype.

While people are playing with this AR interaction activity, users can press the button to take a picture or record video with their device. Thus, people who participated can save the memories in their devices and social media, and share with others. On the other hand, this activity can be more enjoyable when people help each other. Some people hesitate to talk or interact with others. However, through this activity, people can help each other to make this work better. I believe this small event can create a positive vibe between people.
