Discovery and Ideation
I thought it would be nice if they could go beyond just keeping in touch by adding a few extra steps to make it fun to recall and reminisce about each other.
One of the reasons for designing an application for long-distance dating was the difficulty of communication due to the time difference. The time difference made our contact more difficult, and I guess this time difference applies not only to lovers but also to family and friends living in different cities or different countries

Brainstorm
As mentioned briefly above, I didn't want to design this application simply as a means to send and receive messages. As I go through my daily life, there often comes a time when I want to share my moments with lovers. There are many times when we want to be together over a cup of delicious coffee, to eat ice cream together on a hot summer day, or to present a simple sandwich for a loved one who worked all night. At this time, I thought that it would be nice to be able to present a gift coupon with a simple message with super simple and fun quizzes!
Initial idea and icon sketches on paper, and divided into 4 different sections of sender, receiver, setting, and option interfaces, and helps to build the wireframe stronger.

In order to ensure usability and that available features are simple to access based on where you are and what you're doing on the page, user flows were used to further layout the platform.

Sitemap
Similar to the initial prototype studies, this information architecture diagram helped me further design the layout to check usability and usable features before creating a digital prototype.
It also allows me to visualize how individual webpages or site sections are related to each other.
Through this process, I could explore the user experience in more detail from a screen to screen.
Initial Sketch
After doing some studies and establishing the concept and purpose of this app, I jumped into the design process. I started sketching out the features of the app that I think are most important to users.
Wireframe
Creating a sitemap really helped in outlining more sophisticated areas, identifying potential options, and visualizing how everything fits together. I quickly sketched out initial wireframe ideas in Figma, experimenting with various elements and designs that could be applied to the main model.
By doing this, I was able to choose the aspects of each sketch that I liked and determine what would work well not only with one another.
Digital Prototype
By adding a gift on each question before you send, it increases receiver’s curiosity over the reward that they will get after having right anwer. As a result, it will bring higher participation and ends up knowing much more of each other.
The type of questions may vary in such way of sending a joke and non-sense question or things that even impossible to answer. You can give couples a chance to loosen up naturally, or improve their relationships with friends, acquaintances, or family members who have lost contact. It is a mobile product that can be used socially and commercially, beyond the meaning of improving people’s love and relationships.
Next Steps !
- It was challenging for me to think of ideas on my own and consider alternative viewpoints while building this product. I only had family and friends who don't have knowledge in ux design, to bounce my ideas off of. Now that the design of the app has progressed to some extent, we want to do another user test to cover the gaps
- Explore a graphical implementation that allows users to see the time difference with the other party
- Change language options
- Conceptual understanding of how to send and receive gift coupons in different currencies
- To gain investors, it needs to be profitable thus adding the ad option to provide financial stability, while also giving users premium features or let users know that a portion of the proceeds from watching the ad will be donated
